Who is “Forcht Bank”?

Forcht Bank is a community bank based in Lexington, KY that serves communities across Kentucky, and now in Ohio with the purchase of Watch Hill Bank. How do you pronounce “Forcht”?

It’s pronounced “fork” as in the eating utensil.

Is Forcht Bank financially sound?

Yes, Forcht Bank is one of the largest privately-held banks in Kentucky and is 5-star rated by Bauer Financial Rating Service. Forcht Bank now has assets of approximately $1.2 billion.

Will Watch Hill Bank locations be affected?

No. Forcht Bank is retaining both Watch Hill Bank locations and transitioning them into full-service Forcht Bank locations. As a customer of Forcht Bank you will now have access to our additional 24 Banking Centers throughout Kentucky and Cincinnati. For a list of locations, visit forchtbank.com.

Can I still use my current bank checks?

Yes. You may continue to use your WHB checks for at least 3 years.

Note: Any check orders placed on or after March 12, 2019 will need to include Forcht Bank’s routing number.

Will my debit/credit cards still work?

No. As of March 10, 2019, at 11:59 PM, your Watch Hill Bank debit card will no longer work. You should be receiving your new Forcht Bank Debit MasterCard® on February 25, 2019. Please activate it and begin using on March 11, 2019.

If you have a Watch Hill Bank Credit Card, you will not be receiving a replacement credit card. The Watch Hill Bank Credit Cards are provided and serviced by a third-party which is not part of the Forcht Bank acquisition. Forcht Bank does have several credit card products available. Will the web site change?

On March 11, 2019, if you visit www.watchhillbank.com, you will automatically be forwarded to www.forchtbank.com to access your new online banking account, view contact information and more. We encourage you to go ahead and familiarize yourself with the site and its many services. You can apply for a mortgage, open a checking or savings account, contact us, and much more.

Will my online banking and bill pay change?

On March 11, 2019, you may log into your Online Banking account with Forcht Bank. As a new user you will visit www.forchtbank.com, and click on the “Login” button in the top right-hand corner. Your username will be the same as your current Watch Hill Bank username, using lowercase characters. If your username is exactly 9 digits, you will be prompted to create a new username after your initial login. Your initial password will be the last four of your social security number and you will be prompted to strengthen that password upon first entrance.

There are several changes coming to bill pay but we will transfer your information over with little disruption.

  • March 6: After this date you may not pay any bills through Watch Hill Bank’s Bill Pay system
  • March 11: Log into Forcht Bank’s Online Banking and Bill Pay to begin using your new bill pay system
  • We have several demonstration videos on our website at www.forchtbank.com/discover/demo-videos where you can learn more about the capabilities
  • If you have any bills scheduled in Watch Hill Bank Bill Pay between March 8–15, please use an alternative method to pay your bill

WILL I NEED TO SIGN-UP TO RECEIVE eSTATEMENTS?

Yes, you will need to enroll through Online Banking to begin receiving eStatements at Forcht Bank.

WILL THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF MY CERTIFICATE OF DEPOSIT (CD) REMAIN THE SAME?

Yes, all CD’s and IRA’s will transfer over at their current rate and maturity term. However, once they have renewed other terms and conditions may vary based on Forcht Bank CD’s and IRA’s.

I HAVE A LOAN WITH WATCH HILL BANK, WHAT WILL CHANGE WITH MY LOAN PAYMENT?

There will be no change to the loan itself. Your loan statements will now come from Forcht Bank. The loan payments may be made to “Forcht Bank” and can be dropped off at your local Forcht Bank locations in Cincinnati, or you may mail them to – FORCHT BANK, N.A., PO BOX 55250, LEXINGTON, KY 40509.
